After the included first year

MCVM Care+ is optional.

MCVM Care+ automatically renews at $295 per year, plus applicable tax, after clear recurring-charge disclosure and affirmative consent.

Active MCVM Care+ includes Staff Stations, support, update eligibility, and planned Managed AI service under the applicable policy. Managed AI includes normal museum use under annual fair use, with no surprise overage charges; BYOK remains available. Managed AI availability is confirmed when commercial purchasing opens.

MCVM never updates itself: the only update method is for a person to open Settings > Program & Maintenance > Update App and start the update, and nothing installs automatically.

The important part

Not renewing does not lock the museum out.

Core MCVM, the perpetual license, the installed collection, backup, restore, export, and already-delivered updates remain available. Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not disable the collection.

Institutional purchasing

Museums that require a quote, purchase order, accounts-payable process, or bank transfer may request a Paddle invoice. Paddle determines applicable transaction tax and handles exemption requests as merchant of record.
