Delivery & downloads
Official customer delivery will appear here.
MCVM is not yet available for public purchase or download.
After launch, a successful Paddle payment is intended to lead to delivery of the institutional license and the authenticated download. The delivery process will be described here once it has been qualified, and some purchases may be held for review first. That production fulfillment service does not exist yet.
What a customer will receive
- Purchase confirmation and the named museum's license record
- The exact signed installer, release identity, SHA-256 checksum, and release notes
- The accepted Terms, MCVM Care+ policy, Refund & Cancellation policy, and Privacy disclosure
- Installation, backup, replacement-computer, recovery, and support instructions
Updates after installation
MCVM never updates itself: the only update method is for a person to open Settings > Program & Maintenance > Update App and start the update, and nothing installs automatically.
Before downloading
Moving from PastPerfect, CatalogIt, or another collections system? Contact Sales & Licensing to discuss migration options and the customer-generated export that best fits your collection. MCVM supports guided record imports; Full Collection Migration packages are for complete MCVM-to-MCVM moves.
The license does not limit the number of artifacts or the size of a collection. Storage requirements depend primarily on the size and quantity of the museum's records, photographs, documents, and backups, and on available disk capacity. MCVM has not published performance figures for any collection size.
MCVM does not provide POS, accounting, or retail-management functions.
Recognize and retain an official release
- Release identity: MCVM Collection Manager 1.0 - application version 54.21
- Download only from this domain or the authenticated link supplied for the museum
- Confirm Windows identifies the published signing identity as George Williams
- Match the published version and SHA-256 checksum
- Never bypass a warning for an unknown or unsigned copy
- Keep the exact installer, checksum, release notes, and accepted terms on protected storage apart from the working PC; a Complete Backup contains museum state, not the installer
