MCVM distinguishes ordinary record exports, complete MCVM migration, disaster recovery, and an independent technical handoff.
Choose the object that matches the job.
- Record export: selected flat artifact fields for a spreadsheet or operator-mapped import. It does not contain the complete relationship graph or attached files.
- Full Collection Migration: a sealed, verified MCVM-to-MCVM package preserving the qualified portable collection graph.
- Complete Backup: a sealed recovery package for MCVM restore, including the collection database, managed museum files, and portable settings. It is not a general vendor import and contains no installer.
- Technical exit set: a preserved SQLite database, ordinary managed files, requested exports, and the shipped MCVM Data Exit Reference for a receiving vendor or qualified technician.

Create a verified Complete Backup, keep the live collection unchanged, perform conversion only from disposable copies, and compare donor/lender, accession, artifact, media, location, custody, and history relationships before accepting another system. No MCVM cloud account is required to read a preserved SQLite copy and ordinary managed files.
